Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level II Trauma Center experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Combined adult and pediatric emergency department in a Level I/II Trauma Center
• Evening (1500-0330) and Night (1900-0730) shifts, 12s and 8s as needed
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Floating required as needed
• Utilizes Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years
• Epic EMR experience required, within past 12 months preferred
• 40+ bed ED experience preferred
• Level II Trauma Center experience required, Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• At least 1 prior travel assignment (minimum 6 months) required, extensions highly preferred

Additional Information

• Care for high-acuity ED patients including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric cases
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria (adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation) prior to starting
• Up to two attempts allowed for telemetry exam; a third attempt requires completion of a cardiac interpretation review course
• Located at a Magnet-designated, nationally recognized teaching hospital and referral center
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
