Description
American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of home health experience and 2 years overall clinical experience to provide patient-centered care in Vallejo and surrounding counties.
Details
- Home health setting covering geriatric patients with wound care needs
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend shifts required
- Minimum 23-24 visits per week required to qualify for a 40-hour guarantee
- May be required to travel to surrounding counties as discussed during interview
- No on-call requirement, though discretionary on-call may be available
- Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate from first patient to last patient
- Charting completed using Kinnser/Wellsky system, must be done onsite and cannot be taken home
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 2 years overall clinical experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- State license required and must be in hand at time of consideration, with no license hits accepted
- License required if applicable
- Valid driver's license required
- Must have reliable transportation and insurance
- OASIS experience preferred

- Focus on patient-centered, quality-driven care rather than volume of patients
- Ideal candidates are punctual, self-starters, and detail-oriented with charting
- Any color scrubs accepted with closed-toe shoes required
- Free residential parking available
- COVID vaccination required with religious declination allowed; flu vaccination may be declined with documentation
- All compliance documents must be finalized before start, which may take 2-3 weeks
- All time off requests must be submitted at time of consideration, with no additional time off accepted after offer
- Contract length is 4-6 months, with less experienced clinicians required to commit to 6 months
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Open to first-time travelers
