Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Orthopedic RN for a day shift position requiring ACLS certification and prior post-orthopedic surgery experience.
Details
- 24-bed Med/Surg Orthopedics unit
- RN ratios up to 6 patients per nurse
- Postoperative adult patient population recovering from orthopedic, total joint replacement, podiatry, and spine surgeries
- Length of stay varies based on surgery type and discharge needs
- Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Previous post-orthopedic surgery nursing experience preferred
- Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide postoperative nursing care to adult orthopedic surgical patients
- Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply affecting pay rate
- Candidates should discuss possible assignment extension with their manager at least 45 days before the end date
