Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a dual Cath/IR role at a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT and WA state license.

Details

• Work in the Interventional Radiology department covering 4 Angio Suites and 2 ORs
• Dual Cath/IR role covering neuro, cardiac, vascular, and body interventions
• Procedures include stroke interventions, coils, AVMs, diagnostic cerebrals, STEMI/PCI, TEVAR/EVAR, run-offs, CVC, drains, and embolizations
• Epic charting system used
• 4x10 hour day shifts with variable start times between 0700-1100, variable days including weekends
• Schedules posted in advance on the 15th of each month
• On-call requirement of 4-5 shifts per month, including 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month
• Facility may float clinicians within scope to meet facility needs
• No floating to sister facilities required
• Facility can call off 1 shift per every 2-week pay period

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• ARRT certification required
• WA State Radiologic Technologist License required if applicable
• BLS required
• ACLS and ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred but not required
• Experience with venous access, central venous lines, and PICC line care and maintenance
• Experience with angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and vascular studies
• Cardiac cath lab experience including diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with equipment setup, prepping access sites, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain sterile field
• Experience with Philips and Siemens equipment and ultrasound preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Pending state license accepted

Additional Information

• Level 1 Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 500 staffed beds
• Responsibilities include equipment setup, stocking supplies, sterile field maintenance, and PACS operation
• Scrubs provided by facility
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
• RTO limited to no more than 6 days and cannot be accommodated during the first 2 weeks of assignment
• Prior UW staff must have 18 months separation before returning as a travel candidate
