Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/IR Technologist for a dual Cath/IR role at a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital requiring ARRT and WA state license.

Details

• Dual Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology role
• Level 1 Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 500 staffed beds
• Daily caseload includes 4 angio suites and 2 ORs
• Procedures span neuro (stroke, coils, AVMs, dx cerebrals), cardiac (STEMI, PCI, dx caths), vascular (run-offs, TEVAR, EVAR), and body (CVC, drains, embolizations)
• Epic EMR used
• 4x10 hour day shifts, variable days including weekends, with variable start times between 0700-1100
• Schedules posted in advance on the 15th of each month
• On-call required: 4-5 call shifts per month, including 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month
• May float within scope to meet facility needs, no floating to sister facilities

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• ARRT certification and WA State Radiologic Technologist License required (license required if applicable)
• BLS required; ACLS and ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Skills needed include vascular access, angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, and central venous line care and maintenance
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures such as left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with IR procedures including nephrostomy, biliary drainage, and TIPS
• Proficiency with equipment set up, sterile field maintenance, and PACS system
• Pending state license accepted

Additional Information

• Perform equipment set up, access site prep, room circulating, and sterile field maintenance during cath and IR procedures
• Facility-provided scrubs
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
• RTO limited to no more than 6 days, with minimal RTO during first 2 weeks and none during orientation week
• Prior staff at this facility must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
