Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer with 2+ years of OB/GYN experience and required ARDMS OB/GYN and NT certifications.

Details

• Work across 6 ultrasound rooms at one hospital and 2 rooms at a second hospital within a High Risk Pregnancy Clinic setting
• Perform 7-9 detailed ultrasounds daily and report findings to 3 MFM physicians
• Patient population includes maternal and fetal high-risk conditions requiring detailed ultrasound imaging
• Assist with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS, and PUBS procedures
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment, PACS, and Epic EMR
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekends, nights, on-call, or major holidays required
• Potential to float within scope to meet facility needs, including between sister facilities

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer
• BLS, ARDMS, and ARDMS OB/GYN certification required; NT certification required
• Outpatient and OB/GYN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester ultrasounds, fetal anatomical survey, fetal echo, nuchal translucency screening, amniotic fluid index, umbilical cord Doppler, and multiple pregnancy imaging
• Experience with transvaginal and transabdominal imaging of uterus, ovaries, and renal/pelvis structures
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform detailed obstetric ultrasounds and assist with invasive prenatal procedures under physician guidance
• Collaborate closely with 3 MFM physicians on findings and reporting
• Scrubs required in any color with no prints
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning staff may reapply after 3 months, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Minimal RTO requests preferred; all time-off requests must be submitted with initial application
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
