Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level 2 Trauma teaching hospital position requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department setting in a Level 2 Trauma teaching hospital with 258 staffed beds
• Patient ratios of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
• Night shift options include 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) or 5x8 hour shifts (7:00 PM-3:30 AM)
• Required to work every other weekend (12-hour shifts, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday)
• Additional evening or night shifts scheduled throughout the week to meet contracted FTE
• No on-call responsibilities
• Will float between Mercy Coon Rapids and Mercy Unity campuses as needed
• Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
• IV Start skills required
• Triage and conscious sedation skills preferred
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care across a range of patient acuities
• Float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility for consideration
• Navy scrub color required
• RTO ideally no more than 5 days
• Returning staff must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked as a perm employee (staff or per diem)
• No parking fees at this facility
