Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for an LTAC unit requiring ACLS, BLS, and a compact or LA RN license.

Details

• LTAC ICU unit setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:5/6
• Performs specialized procedures including TPN, wound care, drain management, foley catheter care, and narcotic administration
• Epic EMR experience required
• Block scheduling considered
• No call-in requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license, Compact or Louisiana license in hand required upon consideration
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA certifications only)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• LTAC experience preferred but not required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Up-to-date NURSYS report required (within 4 weeks of consideration)

Additional Information

• Care for critically ill patients requiring ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex medication administration
• Provides care across cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, endocrine, gastrointestinal, and neurological patient needs
• Orientation held five days per week
• Two manager or supervisor references required prior to starting the contract (not required for consideration)
• Charge RN references are not acceptable
• Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Requested time off must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process to avoid offer rescission
• Previous permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a full year separation from the health system before returning as a traveler

• Staff may be required to participate in an emergency response team during declared emergency events, with related pay details communicated separately
