Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg/Tele Oncology unit requiring 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- 24-bed Medical Surgical/Oncology unit
- Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00am-7:30pm
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Floating required to other units and Integris facilities within 75 miles
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (OK or Compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) preferred
- 2 years of Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
- Oncology nursing experience including chemotherapy administration and management preferred
- Experience with IV therapy, central line/port care, and blood product administration
- Experience recognizing and managing oncologic emergencies preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Current driver's license or state-issued ID required for consideration
- Utility bill in candidate's name with matching address within the last three months required for consideration
- 2 supervisory references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to a Medical Surgical and Oncology patient population
- Deliver chemotherapy, biotherapy, and symptom management care in accordance with oncology best practices
- Support psychosocial care needs including patient/family education and end-of-life care
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO permitted
- No block scheduling requests accommodated
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former Integris employees must have a minimum of 1 year separation from employment to be eligible
- Local candidates are not eligible for this position
