Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years PICU/adult critical care experience for a day-shift assignment requiring WA licensure.

Details

• Work in a Pediatric RRT unit caring for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Manages 5 ventilators with 6-8 RVUs across a 500-room facility
• Performs airway management including extubation, intubation assist, and tracheostomy suctioning
• Administers medications such as Albuterol, Atrovent, Nitric Oxide, and Racemic epinephrine
• Utilizes Draeger and Servo I ventilators
• Performs ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend coverage is variable
• May float to other campuses, including Swedish Issaquah

Requirements

• Active WA state license required (License required if applicable)
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• PICU and adult critical care experience required
• Pulmonary Function Test Lab experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
• ABG interpretation and basic EKG skills required
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required

• Scrubs: any color accepted
• Must be willing to float between sister facilities as needed
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of application
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
• Former Providence permanent employees must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify
