Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring at least one year of acute care experience and an active CA RN license.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry unit within an MS/Tele and Cardiac Telemetry setting, including ER Holding coverage
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30, with rotating days Sunday through Saturday
• Float required to other units as needed
• Weekend coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (CPI preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience required
• Minimum of 1 year full-time equivalent specialty experience within the past 2 years for specialized unit consideration
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral/central line care
• Experience with respiratory care including oxygen administration, BiPAP/CPAP, and tracheostomy management
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration required)
• Familiarity with post cardiac cath, CVA, TBI, and other cardiovascular/neurological conditions

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive telemetry nursing care across a broad range of cardiovascular, neurological, respiratory, and post-surgical conditions
• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and utilize rapid response/code teams as needed
• Manage wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Travel nursing experience not required
