Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Details

• 52-bed Emergency Department plus 4-bed Behavioral Health Unit providing 24/7 all-ages emergency care
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-2 with approximately 196 admissions per day
• Day shift schedule from 7:00am to 7:00pm
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• On-call required if needed, approximately 1 shift per pay period
• Weekend commitment of 4 shifts within a 6-week period
• Holiday coverage required if needed

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI-B certifications required
• Strong skills in discharge planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and communication systems

Additional Information

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across all age groups in a fast-paced ED setting
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as part of the patient care plan
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
