Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position specializing in Vascular procedures, requiring a KY or compact RN license and call coverage.

Details

• Work within a Surgical Services department featuring 15 OR suites, including hybrid and cardiothoracic rooms, plus PACU, sterile supply, pharmacy, and scheduling support areas
• RN Vascular specialty focus
• 26-week contract
• Monday through Friday schedule, 0630-1500
• Call required every other day and every other weekend
• Willingness to help in other specialties as needed

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required per department compliance
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

• Deliver direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination throughout the surgical process
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities alongside patient and family education
• Collaborate with an inter-professional care team and delegate tasks appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
