Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Work in a 38-bed Emergency Department providing urgent and emergent care via EMS, walk-in, or hospital transfer
• Includes a specialized isolation room with negative/positive pressure capability for critical and infectious cases
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week, from 0700 to 1900
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in KY or compact state
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the care team

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and coordination of admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
• Collaborate with interprofessional team members and delegate tasks appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
• Promote a healing environment through evidence-based nursing practice and holistic patient care
