Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a night shift contract position requiring Hawaii licensure and a minimum of 2 years of experience caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
Details
- Provides continuous airway management and ventilator/non-invasive ventilator support
- Consults with physicians and performs all aspects of respiratory care including CPR
- Utilizes computerized charting, Pyxis medication management, PB 980, PB 840, and V60 ventilators, and Para Pac Transport Vent
- Night shift schedule: 1830-0700, three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours)
- 15-week contract
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License required by start of assignment (license required if applicable)
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
- RRT and NRP certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Experience caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations required
- Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved exception required prior to contract start
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday
- Do not accept this assignment if unable to arrive on time for the required health appointment
