Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN with a PA or Compact license and prior cardiac monitoring experience for a hospital assignment offering day and night shift options.

Details

• Work on a hospital Telemetry unit
• 3x12-hour Day (7:00-19:30) or Night (19:00-7:30) shift schedules available
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Float within the hospital as needed, based on unit-specific expectations
• May be required to float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
• Every other holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS and BLS required, NIHSS required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with telemetry (on-unit and remote monitoring)
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Respiratory care experience including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• SSN, DOB, and RTO information required for consideration
• Two supervisor references preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a cardiac telemetry unit, including monitoring, medication management, and emergency response
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
• Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
• All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday before start
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted
• Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
