Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring PA or Compact license and at least 1 year of experience

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit with a 1:7 patient ratio
• Rotating 13-week assignment with Night (3x12, 19:00-7:00) and Day (3x12, 7:00-19:00) shift options
• Floating required within the hospital as well as to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, central and PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy, and oxygen administration
• Experience managing renal/genitourinary conditions such as CBI and hemodialysis care
• Knowledge of wound care, PPE/isolation precautions, and cardiac monitoring with dysrhythmia management
• Familiarity with orthopedic, neurological, and endocrine patient populations
• SSN, DOB, and RTO required for consideration
• Two supervisor references preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across a range of med/surg and telemetry conditions including GI, respiratory, renal, and orthopedic cases
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility for local eligibility, as local candidates are not accepted at travel rate
• Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Fingerprinting, drug screen, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
• Compliance requirements must be finalized by the Wednesday prior to start
• Approximately 1 hour of pre-start training modules required before entering the facility
