Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with Draeger vent and Level II trauma experience for a night shift acute care hospital position.

Details

• Short term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds
• Level II Trauma Center within the Yale New Haven Health System
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Floats between Bridgeport Hospital and Milford Campuses
• Rotates through all hospital units, including NICU and Pediatric units, based on census and staffing needs
• Uses EPIC for charting

Requirements

• Active CRT or RRT license, plus state license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Level III or IV NICU experience required
• Acute care experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Level II trauma experience required
• Draeger ventilator experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required, with no contracts under 13 weeks
• NICU, high frequency oscillating vent, and high frequency jet vent experience preferred
• ACLS, CPFT, NRP, and PALS certifications preferred

Additional Information

• May be asked to help orient students or new hires as needed
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only
• Local candidates not accepted; must live outside 75 miles of the hospital
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
