Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position requiring NJ or compact RN license and experience in high-risk pregnancies at a large hospital facility.

Details

• Work in a Delivery Room unit within a large hospital facility
• High-risk labor and delivery patient population with high patient census
• PM shift schedule, 7p-7a, 3 shifts per week for 36 hours
• Uses Epic for charting
• No on-call requirements
• May float to a sister hospital nearby

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with high-risk pregnancies in large hospital facilities required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

• Deliver competent clinical care and demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care and progress
• Uphold professional practice standards and patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and safe patient transfer techniques
• Provide patient and family education related to procedures and recovery
• Local candidates accepted at a different rate
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from the initial start date before requiring a break
