Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a high acuity Stepdown Unit requiring a NJ or compact RN license and prior ICU experience.

Details

• High acuity Stepdown Unit (SDU) setting within a hospital
• PM shift, 7p-7a, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Every 3rd weekend required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating as needed, including to a nearby sister hospital
• Uses EPIC EMR charting system

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to a high acuity stepdown population spanning pediatric to geriatric patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Deliver pre-operative and postoperative assessment, education, and care
• Support Pre Admission Testing (PAT) order evaluation as applicable
• Demonstrate safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals including use of two patient identifiers
• Coverage required for one winter and one summer holiday
• Local candidates accepted at a different pay rate
