Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 1 year of recent hospital Med/Surg experience and a KS or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour day shifts scheduled 0645-1915
• 13-week contract length
• Weekend requirement of 2 weekends per month
• Holiday coverage required as needed in rotation
• May float within scope of practice
• On-call requirement of 1 shift per month

Requirements

• Active KS RN license or Compact required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting required
• Experience with drips such as Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem preferred
• New graduates will not be considered

Additional Information

• Orientation includes a virtual session on Monday followed by unit-based training for the remainder of the week
• Facility is nicotine-free
• Local candidates accepted, but will be expected to convert to a permanent position after the first contract
• Client may issue up to 2 shift cancellations per month with a minimum of 2 hours notice
• Local and travel candidates accepted at the same bill rate, except for a specific campus location requiring a 60-mile radius
