Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of specialty experience and both inpatient and outpatient background for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Inpatient and outpatient physical therapy setting, including long term care, community based care, and home health care
- Monday-Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts, flexible start times
- Floating between departments and/or local facilities within 20 miles is required
- Peds PT role includes evaluating and treating patients from birth to 18 years, floating to adult units as census requires
- EPIC EMR experience preferred; on-site training available
Requirements
- NM PT License required if applicable
- BLS certification through AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctorate preferred
- Minimum 2 years of current experience in specialty required
- Inpatient and outpatient experience required
- At least 1 year of Peds PT experience required if working in Peds
- At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required
- Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information
- Evaluates and treats patients using a variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical and developmental disorders
- Coordinates care across disciplines and supports discharge planning from initial evaluation through episode of care
- Serves as a patient advocate, promoting patient and caregiver independence
- Pediatric role includes interviewing children and family members and using physical exams to diagnose movement disorders
- Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
- Previous perm staff must wait one year before being reconsidered as a traveler
- Open to first-time travelers with at least one prior 13-week travel assignment
