Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a fast-paced urgent and emergency care setting, requiring NM or compact RN license and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Work in a 24/7 Emergency Department and Urgent Care setting
• 12-hour night shift schedule from 1845-0715
• 3 shifts per week totaling 36 hours
• Floating between departments and/or local facilities within 20 miles is required

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)
• ADN or ASN required
• Minimum two years of current experience in a large ED required
• Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Must pass an onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test prior to starting the assignment, with one retest opportunity allowed
• Epic experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Provide direct, patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation
• Coordinate care with patients, families, and the healthcare team, following established protocols and standards of care
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders or protocol
• Identify and address patient/family learning and discharge needs throughout care
• Provide clinical supervision to LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Complete population-specific and procedural education/competency testing per unit standards
• Must be a flexible team player accustomed to a fast-paced ED environment
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates are not eligible
• Former Presbyterian Health Services staff must wait one year before being reconsidered as travelers
