Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level I Trauma Center with 2 years of ED experience and TNCC/ATCS certifications required.
Details
- Work in a high-volume Emergency Department with an average daily census of 130 patients
- 52 beds/rooms serving a patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics
- 1:4 patient staffing ratio
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:00-6:30)
- Self-scheduling model with every other weekend coverage required (6 shifts per contract)
- Uses Omnicell, Epic, and SBAR unit systems
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, TNCC, and ATCS (or ATCN)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Experience in General ED, Pediatric ED, and STEMI/Stroke Certified facility settings required
- Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Skilled in arterial and central line management
- Skilled in blood product administration and phlebotomy/IV starts
- Experience with continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
- Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
- Experience with CVA, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI care
- Experience with ortho-trauma and pediatric trauma cases (head injury, near drowning, spinal cord injury)
- Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patient care
- Skilled in ABG interpretation
- Experience treating gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric cases in a Level I Trauma Center
- Requested time off must be submitted in advance
- This is a high cost-of-living market, and candidates should research the area prior to considering this assignment
- First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
