Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring CT license and prior trauma experience.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds
• Level II Trauma Center setting
• 5x8-hour day shifts (9:00a-5:30p) with rotation to break shift, evenings, and nights as needed
• Weekend rotation required as needed
• Call required, with typical 6-week schedule including 5-6 weekday trauma calls (8hr shifts), 1-2 weekend trauma calls (12hr), and 1-2 weekend backup calls (10hr)
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CT RN license (or Compact) required prior to start
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required (5 years preferred)
• Trauma experience required, including both Level I and Level II Trauma experience
• Minimum of 3 prior travel assignments in Level I Trauma or high trauma settings required
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• DaVinci Xi Surgical System experience preferred
• One professional reference required

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, neurology, vascular, urology, ENT, and trauma surgery
• Scrubs are provided for this role

• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• Local candidates are not accepted if residing within 75 miles of the hospital
