Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring prior ER experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS certification, and a valid LA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Rotating weekend requirement
• No on-call or floating requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Royal blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (TNCC preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skills in emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with ortho trauma and neuro-trauma cases
• At least two recent manager references required
• Must disclose any license history issues at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
• Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE as needed
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at local rate
• Previous permanent employees of the health system must wait 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
