Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN requiring VA or compact RN license and advanced interventional cardiac cath lab skills including TAVR, Impella, and IABP.

Details

• Cath Lab unit in an acute care teaching hospital serving adult patients
• 6 procedure rooms with a daily census of 15-20 patients
• Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease, valve disorders, heart failure, and ASD/PFO closures
• Advanced procedures performed include TAVR, left atrial appendage closures, Cardiomems, thrombectomy, mitral clips, renal denervation, and research protocols
• Equipment used includes IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, laser, OCT, and IVUS
• Epic charting required
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 7:30a-6p, with up to 26 weeks available by request
• On-call requirement of 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts per 6-week period, including one full weekend of call (Fri-Sun) and one Saturday for elective cases
• Must be able to return to the hospital within 30 minutes when called for on-call shifts
• Must be available to work or take call one holiday per 13-week contract in rotation with staff

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required; pending VA license accepted with emergency authorization
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, atherectomy, temp pacer, Impella, IABP, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitraclip
• Scrub experience required
• Proficient in sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid response protocols
• Experience in diagnostic and interventional cath lab settings using fluoroscopy required
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
