Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Long Term Care position requiring an active AK RN license and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Long Term Care facility with 40 staffed beds
- Patient ratio of 1:20
- Shift options include Day (4x12, 7:00-19:30) or Night (4x12, 19:00-7:30), with staff assigned to one consistent shift
- Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks, traveler's choice
- Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including floating between facilities within the state
- No on-call requirements
- Uses ECS charting system
Requirements
- Active AK RN license required in hand
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Must obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during onsite orientation
Additional Information
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Scrub color is unrestricted
- Facility provides shuttle transportation to and from Anchorage at the start and end of the contract, as well as local shuttle service in Seward
- No more than 2 weeks of RTO considered for a 26-week contract, and all RTO requests must be submitted with initial submission
- Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), with preference given to those willing to work any holiday
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
