Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a fast-paced 65-bed ED requiring 2+ years of ED nursing experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• 65-bed Emergency Department, pod-based, including a separate pediatric pod and a separate Acute Mental Health area
• All-ages patient population with a daily census of approximately 230 visits
• Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every-other-weekend requirement
• 13-week assignment length
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options
• Uses EPIC EMR with ASAP charting module
• Floating required to the ED Observation wing (16 beds) and AMU (ED Psych OBs)
• No rotating shifts required
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• TNCC and NRP certifications strongly preferred
• Skilled in assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across all age groups in a high-volume emergency department setting
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility
• RTO must be submitted at time of application
