Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 12-week travel assignment requiring TNCC and a TN or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a hospital Emergency Department-Trauma unit
- Care for patients with medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma-related emergencies
- Perform triage, rapid assessments, and ongoing monitoring of vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products, and maintain IV access
- Assist with emergency procedures including CPR, trauma resuscitation, intubation, and wound care
- Operate cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and ventilators
- 12-hour shifts from 06:45-19:15
- Document patient care in the electronic health record
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS certifications required; PALS and TNCC may be required or preferred
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- Prior emergency department, critical care, or acute-care experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making skills
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address
Additional Information
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, respiratory therapists, and lab staff
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Follow infection-control and medication-safety practices
- Participate in emergency preparedness and quality-improvement initiatives
- Local candidates accepted, subject to a radius rule that may affect pay rate
