Description

American Traveler is hiring an ER RN with at least 1 year of experience for a 12-week assignment requiring a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department-Trauma unit of a hospital environment
• Care for patients with medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma-related emergencies
• Perform triage, rapid assessments, and ongoing evaluation based on severity and urgency of conditions
• Operate cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and ventilators
• 12-hour shifts from 12:00 to 00:30
• 12-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA required)
• PALS certification may be required
• TNCC certification may be preferred or required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Emergency department, critical care, or acute-care experience preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and other treatments as ordered
• Initiate IV access and obtain blood specimens for laboratory testing
• Assist with emergency procedures including CPR, trauma resuscitation, intubation, and wound care
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Follow infection-control and medication-safety practices per hospital policy
• Participate in emergency preparedness and quality-improvement initiatives
• Accepts local candidates, subject to a radius rule that may affect pay rate
