Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology departments, including IR holding
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 4x9.5 hour shifts (7:00-16:30), with occasional 5x8 shifts as needed
• Care for adult patients with a variety of disease processes in a procedural area, including pre and post care
• Rotating call required for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, approximately 1-2 days per week and every third weekend
• Call shifts typically involve 1-3 cases per week with a 2-hour response time
• Uses Meditech EMR
• High floating expectations within the hospital due to high patient-to-caregiver ratios

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Skills required include IV starts, circulating, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation
• Hemodynamic monitoring and PACS experience preferred
• Meditech charting experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations and PCI
• Assist with electrophysiology procedures such as pacemaker insertion and AICD programming
• Support interventional radiology procedures including vascular, neurological, and genitourinary studies
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates with background hits or licensure actions will not be considered
• Previous employees must have been gone for at least 1 year and left in good standing to be eligible for return
• Expected to work some holidays and weekends on a rotating basis with permanent staff
• Floating will occur within the hospital in accordance with facility policy and clinical experience
