Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Renal Med-Surg night shift position requiring telemetry proficiency and Epic EMR experience.
Details
- Work on a 19-21 bed Renal/Medical-Surgical unit
- Care for adult patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs, along with complex medical-surgical conditions
- High-acuity unit with continuous monitoring, frequent assessments, and high patient turnover
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required to similar Med-Surg units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience required
- Renal experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
- Epic EMR proficiency required with no training provided
- Must pass a Day 1 competency test to retain the contract

- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients
- Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Must demonstrate adaptability, efficiency, and strong critical thinking in a high-volume setting
- Holiday coverage required
