Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN with a current NY RN license and on-call availability for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- Operating Room/Ambulatory Surgical Unit setting
- 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, five days per week
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- On-call required with a 30-minute response time
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active NY RN license required
- BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
- Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and patient assessment across clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs
- Knowledge of clinical equipment and instrumentation used in OR/ASU settings for safe and aseptic care
- Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills required
- Preceptorship, charge, and leadership experience preferred for experienced RNs
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills required
Additional Information
- May be required to assume charge nurse duties
- Must recognize safety issues and properly utilize lifts to move patients safely
- Must function effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments
- Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
- Two references required from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager within the past year and within the relevant specialty
