Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of high-paced Nuc Med experience and ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in the Nuclear Medicine department
- Department has 4 scanners/rooms with GE and Siemens equipment
- Performs cardiac, HIDA, gastric emptying, parathyroid, thyroid, thyroid therapy, and DAT studies
- Average of 6-10 scans/studies per day
- In-house radiologist available
- Uses Epic EMR and Synapse/PACS imaging system
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Thursday
- Weekend and holiday call requirements
- No floating to other departments required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-paced Nuclear Medicine department
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required
- License required if applicable
- Must be able to start IVs
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
Additional Information
- No dedicated Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on site
- No use of Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs)
- Department-specific orientation provided
- One week of orientation required, with clinicians expected to be in-state even if initial modules are remote
- No scrubs provided; solid colors required with no prints or graphics
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility
