Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a 13-week assignment in New York requiring procedural sedation and Epic experience.
Details
- Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting within a community hospital
- Days shift, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Weekend work required as part of the shift schedule
- No on-call requirements
- Compact license not accepted, active NY license required
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
- Experience with AM admissions/blocks and recovery required
- Procedural sedation experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must have own vehicle
- Must pass a 14 panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance
- Completion of Welle or CPI de-escalation training required for onboarding
Additional Information
- Manage and deliver direct patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Serve as a leader of the interdisciplinary team under the direction of the attending physician
- Previous travel experience highly preferred
- Candidates with prior Glens Falls Hospital or Albany Med experience should disclose this upfront
- Candidates residing in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties will not be considered
- Must be available to work holidays as needed
- Dress code allows personal scrubs of any color with no designs, cartoons, or hoodies
- No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted, and must be submitted at time of upload
- COVID vaccination encouraged but not required
