Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg experience and prior Critical Access Hospital experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit within a critical access hospital setting
• 3x12hr night shifts, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to the Emergency Department required

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg experience required
• Prior experience in a Critical Access Hospital required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Med Surg skills checklist required
• One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg unit that stabilizes, treats, and discharges patients or coordinates transfer for higher level care when needed
• Facility partners with area ambulance services and offers helicopter transport for critically ill or injured patients
• Emergency Department utilizes TeleEmergency, Telepsych, and Teleneonatal support services
• Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility
• Housing may be limited in the area, so exploring options in advance is recommended
• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted
