Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week night shift acute care position requiring adult critical care experience and CRT certification.

Details

• Acute care setting covering ER, ICU, CVICU, and general wards
• Adult patient population with some pediatric and infant cases in the ER setting
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Performs 15+ treatments per day
• Utilizes Avea, LTV, and Zoll ventilators, V60, V30, SiPAP, Vapotherm, and Optiflow equipment
• Night shift schedule, 1800-0630, 12-hour shifts
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Floating between West and East campus locations may be required
• No solo shifts and no call or standby requirement
• Hospitalist or intensivist available on-site

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
• Certified Respiratory Tech (CRT) verification required
• Adult critical care experience with confidence in this setting required
• Experience with ABGs, EKGs, ventilator management, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Ability to assist with intubation in all areas
• License required if applicable
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Additional Information

• Perform general respiratory therapy duties including ABGs, EKGs, ventilator management, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Assist with intubation across all care areas
• Work alongside hospitalists and intensivists on-site
• No respiratory manager, supervisor, or lead therapist on shift
• Primary need is for day shift at the West Campus, though work at both campuses may occur
• West Campus serves adults only, while East Campus serves all age groups
• Department-specific orientation includes 1 day of new employee orientation and 3 days in the department
• Black scrubs required with no logos
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to local candidate rules
