Description

American Traveler is seeking a Neuro ICU RN for a night-shift travel assignment requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and a CT or Compact RN license.

Details

• Neuro ICU setting within a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center
• Average patient ratio of 1:2 on both day and night shifts
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required; pending license accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (1.5 years considered for Level I Trauma or travel experience)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Neuro ICU experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Level I and Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management, arterial line management, and titration of vasoactive and sedation drips
• Experience with neurological care including EVD, ICP monitoring, CVA/stroke management, and post-craniotomy care
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to complex Neuro ICU patients including those requiring ventilator support, ICP monitoring, and vasoactive drip titration
• Participate in multidisciplinary care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Must be willing to assist with natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; COVID vaccine and booster required except for religious or medical exemption
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Previous perm staff must have a 2-year gap before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers accepted
