Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level 4 NICU position requiring 2+ years of neonatal ICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a high acuity, fast paced Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Patient population includes neonates through 1 year of age, with occasional patients older than 1 year
• Cares for conditions including HIE/Therapeutic Hypothermia, VLBW/ELBW prematurity, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, heart disease/defects, surgical neonates, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, arrhythmias, congenital birth defects, and renal failure
• Nurse to patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current certifications in BLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics)
• Minimum 2 years of Neonatal ICU experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to high acuity neonatal patients in a fast-paced Level 4 NICU setting
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate due to facility radius rules
• Candidates should discuss contract extension with their manager approximately 45 days before the assignment end date
