Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role requiring a NJ or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ED or critical care/cardiac experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• AM shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (11a-11p)
• 36 hours per week
• Uses Epic for charting
• Float to sister hospital as needed
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification required for pediatric ER assignments
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Critical Care, Cardiac, or Emergency Department
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Additional Information

• Perform systematic, comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric
• Deliver direct patient care using emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing care and patient progress
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and use of two patient identifiers
• Promote a patient- and family-centered care environment while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality
• Assume responsibility for prioritizing patient care based on condition and needs
• Local candidates accepted
• Travelers may stay on assignment up to one calendar year from the initial start date before requiring a break
