Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring high-risk pregnancy experience and an active NJ or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Delivery Room unit of a large hospital facility
• High-risk labor and delivery patient population with high patient census
• Uses Epic for charting
• AM shift schedule, 7a-7p, 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week)
• No on-call responsibilities
• May float to a sister hospital nearby

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Experience with high-risk pregnancies in large hospital settings required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric
• Deliver direct patient care and demonstrate competency with emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of the nursing process and patient progress
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and safe patient handling techniques
• Provide patient and family education, including pre-operative and post-operative instruction as applicable
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and professional, courteous interactions with patients and families
• Accepts local candidates
• No approved RTO during the assignment
