Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position requiring RRT certification, active MA license, and 2+ years of acute care vent experience.

Details

• 371-licensed bed hospital with 220 Med/Surg beds, MICU, ED, Labor and Delivery, and a Level 2B Nursery
• Respiratory Care unit staffing 5 therapists on Days, 5 on Evenings, and 4 on Nights
• Day shift staffing includes 1 Charge therapist, 2 assigned to a 20-bed ICU, and 2 assigned to Med/Surg floors
• Uses PB980 and Hamilton T1 Transport Ventilators
• EPIC EMR system used for charting
• 36 hours per week, Night shift schedule with every other weekend required
• Day position may rotate to 11a-11p when needed; Night position is straight nights

Requirements

• RRT certification required
• Active MA Respiratory Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required (AHA only accepted)
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Minimum 2 years of experience in one location, plus 1-2 years of travel experience preferred
• Vent experience required in an acute care setting
• Ability to draw arterial blood gases
• EPIC charting experience

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care services across ICU and Med/Surg patient populations
• Work as part of a structured respiratory care team with charge therapist oversight
• Flu vaccination required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates accepted if residing within 60 miles of the facility, with adjusted pay rate
• First-time travelers may be considered given prior local experience requirement
