Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring 2 years of invasive cardiology experience and a PA or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a 3-lab invasive cardiology department with a dedicated 12-bed prep and recovery area
- Perform cath, EP, and peripheral vascular procedures alongside cardiologists, electrophysiologists, RNs, and technologists
- Facility offers surgical backup for cases ranging from diagnostics to complex interventions including Impella and ECMO
- EP procedures include cardioversions, implants, and ablations for rhythm issues
- Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts (0700-1730), Monday through Friday with a varying weekly day off
- Work every third weekend
- On-call required as needed by the unit
Requirements
- Active RN license (PA or compact) in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of cath lab/EP nursing experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Skilled in circulating procedures, infection prevention, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, isolation precautions/PPE, and monitoring procedural sedation
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures such as left/right heart catheterization, PCI, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and Swan Ganz monitoring

- May involve care for COVID-19 patients
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
- Maximum RTO of 7 days
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius considered at a lower bill rate
- First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
- Travel pairs accepted, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
