Description

American Traveler is hiring an evening-shift Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray for a 298-bed teaching hospital, requiring ARRT certification and at least 1 year of current experience.

Details

• Radiology department at a 298-bed teaching hospital offering a full continuum of medical specialties and a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging department
• Five 8-hour evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM totaling 40 hours per week
• Every other weekend required with holiday coverage as needed
• On-call requirement of three shifts per month
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience strongly preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience with 1 year of current experience required
• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
• Must have own vehicle
• Supervisory reference from within the past two years required
• Skills checklist for X-Ray Technologist position current within 1 year required

Additional Information

• Perform a wide variety of technical radiologic procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative to facilitate diagnosis
• May assume supervisory or instructional responsibilities for department personnel as assigned
• Practice infection control and body substance isolation in compliance with hospital policies and OSHA standards
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Operate and troubleshoot PACS, HIS, RIS, CR, and DR systems
• Attend annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens and infection control training
• Maintain continuing education for both radiology and mammography
• No more than 5 days of RTO accepted, and must be submitted at time of profile upload
• Travelers must work two required holiday blocks: Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through New Year's Day weekends
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Candidates must not be seeking to work this assignment alongside another travel or permanent placement
