Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray for a 13-week day-shift assignment at a teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (R) certification and MA licensure.

Details

• Radiology department at a 298-bed teaching hospital offering a full continuum of medical specialties
• 24-hour diagnostic imaging services including MRI, high-speed CT, ultrasound, x-ray, and mammography
• Four 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 32-hour guaranteed schedule
• Weekly schedule (block scheduling not available)
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage if needed
• No on-call requirement
• Uses PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems, including CR, DR, and PACS applications

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience with 1 year current experience required
• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License required if applicable, in hand or proof of application required
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Perform a wide variety of technical radiologic procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative to facilitate diagnosis
• May assume supervisory or instructional responsibilities for department personnel as assigned
• Practice infection control and body substance isolation in compliance with hospital and OSHA standards
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Attend annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation training
• Maintain continuing education requirements for radiology and mammography
• Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and following weekend
• Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted for this assignment, and must be submitted in advance
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
