Description
American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a night shift assignment requiring med surg and cardiac drip experience with an NH or compact license.
Details
- Stepdown unit within a regional referral medical center
- Adult-geriatric patient population
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM), 48 hours per week
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- No on-call requirements
- Float to Kingsbury unit as needed
- Epic EMR used
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact) required in-hand prior to consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Current NIH Stroke Scale certification strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
- Cardiac drip experience required
- Dementia experience/management required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must have personal vehicle due to lack of public transportation in the area
Additional Information
- Coordinate total nursing care for patients, participate in patient and family teaching, and provide leadership within the clinical team
- Traveler-provided professional scrubs required (no logos)
- Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and following weekend, New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and following weekend
- Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted during the assignment, and all requests must be submitted prior to offer
- Block scheduling will not be accommodated
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
- Candidates should not be pursuing this assignment in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment
