Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with 1+ years of experience and prior travel assignment history for a night shift position in respiratory and neuro diagnostics.

• Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
• 13-week assignment
• ER and ICU experience strongly preferred
• Pediatric/nursery experience preferred, with Level III NICU experience strongly preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• RRT certification required (CRT will be accepted)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, NIHSS, and Nursys certification documentation required for consideration
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Skilled in airway management, intubation assist, extubation, tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management
• Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, and mechanical ventilation weaning
• License required if applicable
• Active license must be in-hand prior to start date

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care across adult critical care and emergency department settings
• Perform airway management, suctioning, and ventilator management duties
• Complete facility-required lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer or provide a completion plan
• Complete onsite orientation modules
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with a positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Two supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
