Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Critical Care Step-Down Unit on a night shift assignment, requiring 2 years of specialty experience and an active TX or compact RN license.
Details
- IMC MedSurgical A unit functioning as a Critical Care Step-Down Unit
- Night shift schedule from 7p-7a
- 13-week full time assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or compact) required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of related nursing specialty experience required
- BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care using the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administers medications and treatments and monitors for side effects and treatment effectiveness
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers based on identified learning needs
- Delegates and makes appropriate care assignments to other providers as needed
- Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
- Candidates must live within 50 miles of the facility
- Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must be separated for 6 months prior to starting a new travel assignment
