Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and prior travel experience for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting
• Patient population includes orthopedics, geriatrics, neurology, and pediatrics
• Patient scheduling of 1 patient per hour, primarily 1:1 therapy sessions
• Double-booking is very rare, with approximately 2 evaluations scheduled per day
• Schedule options include 5x8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, or 4 days/week, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• No call or weekend requirements

Requirements

• NC Board of PT license required if applicable
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Epic experience preferred
• Skilled in patient assessment, gait training, therapeutic modalities, and adaptive equipment use
• Experience with orthopedic conditions such as joint replacements, spinal conditions, and post-op rehabilitation
• Experience with pediatric and neurologic populations preferred
• Current Nursys report dated within the past 7 days required for consideration
• Active license and all required certifications must be in hand at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include conducting initial evaluations, developing treatment plans, and documenting patient progress
• Provides patient and family education on home exercise programs and safety
• Supervises physical therapist assistants and technicians as needed
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
• Mentors students and new employees as assigned
• Participates in continuing education and clinical competency development
• Candidates must disclose any former employment with the facility
• All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
